I'm the author of Prince George & Master Frederick which was published in 2025. It's a novel but is about real people: Prince George, the future regent and King George IV and Master Frederick, Frederick Blomberg, who was the 'natural' son of King George III who adopted young Frederick as an infant and brought him up within the royal household. Young Frederick became best friends with his half-brother Prince George. He is a a character in Georgian history who has been hiding in plain sight and overlooked by historians and royal biographers. I was prompted to research his story after investigating my grandmother's claim that our family had a connection with King George III. Having pieced together Frederick's story I felt compelled to write the book. I have a background in publicity and PR having started my career in book publishing and promoted arts organisations. I also headed up the promotion of major charities such as Great Ormond Street Hospital and Tommy's. I was a director at a PR consultancy specialising in art, design and cultural clients.
I'm also an artist and specialise in paper collage.I exhibit and sell my work regularly. Prince George & Master Frederick is my first published novel. Author website is: www.rosalind-freeborn.com
