Biography:

Dr Gavin Francis Stoneystreet is a Cultural Botanist, Writer, Garden Historian, and a William Morris specialist. Gavin has been researching William Morris’s gardens for many years. He serves as heritage advisor for William Morris’s garden at Kelmscott Manor where he also compiled the garden’s conservation plan. He has a book published by Yale University Press on William Morris and his gardens. He holds a PhD from the University of Bath which explored artist’s gardens as places of pilgrimage and creative expression. He lectures widely on Morris, botany in art, artists’ gardens, and garden history. Gavin is based in the Welsh Marches. He is located on untrodden pathways with his vegetal and feathered friends.
