Biography:

Gavin Griffiths is a motivational speaker, author, endurance athlete, marketing professional and charity founder.

Diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes in childhood, Gavin speaks openly about the mental and emotional challenges of living with a lifelong condition. Rather than allowing it to limit him, he has used his experience as fuel: completing over 100 endurance challenges in support of charitable causes, including running 30 marathon distances in 30 days from John O’Groats to Land’s End.

A London 2012 Olympic Torchbearer, Gavin is the author of The Chronicles of Glycaemia: From Diagnosis to DiAthlete, a memoir offering insight, honesty and empowerment around life with type 1 diabetes and his early endurance achievements.

As a public speaker, Gavin has delivered keynotes at major international conferences, including the International Diabetes Federation World Diabetes Congress and the International Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Diabetes (ISPAD). He has also delivered talks, workshops and training sessions for schools, hospitals, charities, corporate organisations and community groups over the past 18 years.

A powerful and authentic storyteller, Gavin blends humour, humanity and global awareness to create meaningful connection with his audiences. His talks are engaging, relatable and motivating, leaving people feeling understood, energised and more confident in facing their own challenges — whatever form they may take.
