Biography:

After a business life during which I delivered a series of talks to Rotary Clubs while travelling across the world to establish my chemical company, I retired in 1995 to a life of golf, voluntary work and writing. My first novel was published in 2015. I was invited to read from a short memoir at the West Cork Literary Festival in 2017. Then followed my grand project: 'Charles and Charlie', Book I of The Stoker Trilogy, was published in 2020; Book II, 'The Tally Man', in 2022; and Book III, 'Acceptance', was released in 2024. Several of my poems have been published in various magazines and anthologies, and also online by The Society of Classical Poets. Recently, I completed my memoirs, and my current project is a series of three talks, with music, telling the story of Beethoven's life in terms of his development of classical music and the introduction of romanticism. The series consists of three talks, each of which will be a complete presentation of one to two hours.
