Details of talks given by Marc Harris
I started singing and accompanying myself on the guitar when I was seven years old (I am aged 54) and then soon progressed to studying classical music. For the past 20 years I have enjoyed singing at care homes, supper clubs, charitable organisations and community festivals, which I find very satisfying (and have been performing in one way or another for over 40 years). From 2004 - 2011 I performed a set of Gershwin, Berlin, Bart, Porter and Rodgers & Hart songs with a piano accompanist and since 2011 I have been singing with my guitar. I have been the 'resident musician', performing twice a year in the conservatory at Broomfield Park, Palmers Green, London since 2012 and have also performed in and written for satirical comedy review shows, sung in a four-part harmony choir at various venues and performed in musicals at Bloomsbury Theatre (London) and Pantameters Theatre (Hampstead). I am based in Barnet, Hertfordshire and am also available to sing. My website is: www.marcharris.co.uk
