Details of talks given by Brian Price
I am a Chartered Chemist and a Chartered Biologist and use my scientific knowledge to advise other writers about science and crime. I have analysed drugs in a hospital pharmacy, have worked as an environmental consultant, and worked for the Environment Agency for 12 years. I am an Open University graduate and was an OU tutor for 26 years.
In 2019 I wrote Crime writing: How to write the science, a guide for authors on how to avoid scientific mistakes and in 2021 the first of my detective thrillers, Fatal Trade, was published. There are now five books in the series and I have also written A Pocketful of Poisons, a collection of short stories.
