Details of talks given by Sharon Dobson
We are Community First Responders for the South Western Ambulance Service Trust. We are normally first on scene to respond as volunteers ahead of the ambulance to incidents such as cardiac arrests, seizures, chest pain, strokes and breathing difficulties. We also go to non-injury falls, meaning patients are back on their feet without an ambulance crew being needed and saving hospital admissions.
Depending on time we can do either or both talks.
Demonstrate Basic Life Support and using defibrillators, ideal if you have a community Defib. This is run by volunteers that have experience of attending Cardiac Arrests in our local Community
We can talk about our charity, the jobs we go to, our training and the difference we make in our local community.
