Biography:

My name is Andy Foster, recently retired from South Yorkshire Police after 24yrs service. I have held various positions with the Police including Headquarters Crime Reduction Officer, Deputy Force Crime Reduction Officer and for my last 10 yrs service as a Fraud Protect Officer.

I specialised in supporting older victims of fraud. I have seen first hand the impact this crime can have on a victims health and wellbeing. I have delivered hundreds of presentations to groups across South Yorkshire, including social groups (Women's Institutes, Townswomen Guilds, Mothers Unions, Church Groups Parkinson's Societies etc). I have worked with Third Sector Agencies who's staff support vulnerable adults, including Age UK, Victim Support, Housing Associations, Safeguarding Staff as well and professional organisations including Banks, Building Societies and NHS staff.

I am passionate about protecting the vulnerable and now want to continue helping others, providing advice on reducing the risk of becoming a victim of this crime.
