Fraud accounts for over 40% of of all crime. With older people becoming a victim ever 40 seconds. Fraud is known as the secret crime because many victims do not report it due to feelings of shame, embarrassment and guilt. I have vast experience supporting victims of fraud, particularly older victims and totally understand the impact fraud can have on our vulnerable communities.
Using a PowerPoint presentation containing real local case studies who share their stories, lots of up to date fraud facts and statistics, I will raise awareness of underlying fraud themes, emerging threats, and provide advice on reducing the risk of becoming a victim of this dreadful crime.
Although my presentation is powerful, and can be quite impactive, my aim is to educate audiences on how to reduce the risk of becoming a victim of fraud but also make it an enjoyable and entertaining experience.
