Before December 2021 I was relaxing my way through retirement (Pandemic excepted) when I was diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer. Since then I have been on my own cancer journey. The roller coaster ride of hormone therapy, chemotherapy and radiotherapy, and setbacks with problems with my blood. The darkness has now passed and I am in a period of enlightenment. I volunteer for Yorkshire Cancer Community and Prostate Cancer UK, raising awareness and supporting people living with cancer or those who’s life is being affected by someone living with cancer.
