Biography:

Moira Newiss - I am a Registered Nutritional Therapist & Health Coach

I have a special interest in metabolic health. I support men and women, with chronic fatigue, autoimmune conditions and metabolic health problems (like diabetes and obesity) to reboot their energy, resolve their symptoms, feel better and transform their lives.

I retrained after spending 20 years as a senior manager in the NHS eventually becoming the Head of Human Resources & Business Transformation. After suffering from burnout and chronic fatigue I found my way back to full health through nutrition and lifestyle changes. Then I retrained so I could help other people regain their health too. I have continued to study energy metabolism and mitochondria (the organelles that make our energy) in depth and love sharing my knowledge with others. I'm pleased to say that I am a fat burner and I use my knowledge of nutrition to test my performance in endurance feats fuelled on a low carb ketogenic and mainly carnivore diet. I feel like a teenager, I race my bike, climb the Scottish mountains and backpack into remote glens, all with no loss in energy and no sign of my former health problems.

I have lectured at the Institute of Optimum Health in London, been a speaker at the Public Health Collaboration Scottish Conference and given talks to many different groups and organisations.

I am registered with BANT, the British Association of Applied Nutrition & Lifestyle Medicine as well as the UKIHCA which is the Health Coaching Association. I am also an ambassador for the Public Health Collaborative charity who promote real food for health and are on a mission to improve the UK populations metabolic health.
