Details of talks given by Adam Pagett
I work in a hostel for the homeless with people with complex needs from drug and alcohol abuse, women fleeing domestic violence and care leavers to name but a few. I have done this work since leaving prison in 2008 where I served a 10 year sentence for drug smuggling. I am a former soldier and I spent 11 years as a drug addict using both heroin and crack cocaine daily, with periods of homelessness and rough sleeping funding my drug use by any means including begging. I am now studying for my social work degree
I feel I have a story to tell warning of the dangers of drug addiction and what it's like to be homeless, and how I turned my life around.
