Hi, my name is Mark Nyman, born and bred in NW London, now living in Knutsford, Cheshire. I'm very affable and amiable and my light-hearted talks centre on Scrabble!

I became the 1st UK World Scrabble Champion at the Plaza Hotel in New York in 1993, and have come 2nd in both 1999 and 2016. I have also won the UK Championship a record 4 times and am author of the bestseller "Scrabble Secrets", published by Harper Collins.

I was also the 1st 'Countdown Champion of Champions' and went on to become Programme Associate and ultimately the show's Producer in the 1990's.
