Biography:

Jo Moseley is a writer, speaker + short film maker. In 2019, aged 54, she was the first woman to stand up paddleboard coast to coast from Liverpool to Goole along the Leeds Liverpool Canal. Jo was raising money for the surf therapy charity, The Wave Project and the 2MinuteBeachClean Foundation. She was also picking up litter and raising awareness of plastic pollution in our inland waterways and how we each can make a difference. Jo’s talk includes two short films + slide show and is entitled “From crying in supermarkets to paddleboarding 162 miles coast to coast.” Jo talks with enthusiasm, empathy and knowledge about finding purpose and joy in midlife + new chapters in life, such as empty nesting. She believes we are never too old to do something wild and it’s never too late to make a difference.
