Biography:

I am a soon-to-be retired history teacher living in South Yorkshire. I am an Oxford graduate and I have spent 35 years in the teaching of history in a range of secondary schools all over England, I have also taught abroad in the University of Miskolc in NE Hungary as well as having been a tutor in two university education departments in the UK. I am currently studying for a Ph.D in History at the University of Lincoln although I am currently taking an interruption to my studies.

I have taught students from the ages of 10 to 21 and covered many examination courses specialising at A Level. Many of my past students have gone on to read History at degree level including Oxbridge.

I am very happy to deliver talks on many topics in history, specialising in the 15th to 16th centuries as well as talking about current methodologies in history teaching in secondary schools. These latter talks are with a humorous bent!
