Why governance frameworks often generate reporting without improving decisions. Explain how to design governance that gives executives the right information, clarifies accountability, exposes risks and dependencies early, and enables timely intervention without creating unnecessary bureaucracy.
Views: 10 | Enquiries: 0I have over a decade of project delivery experience and extensive experience supporting executive decision-making. While my formal training is rooted in P3M, my real specialism is enabling better strategic decisions in complex organisations.
Throughout my career, I have worked across organisations where ambitious programmes of change and transformation were launched with compelling visions but insufficient foundations for success. I have repeatedly been brought in to stabilise struggling projects and programmes, and have seen first-hand how many of these challenges could have been avoided through clearer requirements, stronger sponsorship, effective governance and better-informed decisions at the outset.
Too often, the decisions that determine success or failure — around priorities, risk, investment, sponsorship and value — are made without the full picture, the right challenge or a clear understanding of the consequences.
My work focuses on helping senior leaders make better strategic decisions, establish the conditions for successful delivery and navigate complexity with greater confidence.
Through my speaking, I challenge conventional thinking about project and programme delivery, exploring why initiatives fail before execution begins and how organisations can make better decisions to turn strategic ambition into measurable outcomes.
