In 431 BC, a conflict erupted in Greece which would become known as the Peloponnesian War. Primarily a war between Athens and Sparta, with various allies on either side, it would throw the Greek world into chaos for the best part of three decades.

Regular speaker at U3A events on history, primarily Roman but also World War 2. I have an MA in Ancient World Studies and enjoy sharing my knowledge with others. I run my own freelance business and this gives me the flexibility to deliver talks during the week.
