The Derwent Valley Light Railway ran between York and Cliffe Common, about 11 miles. It opened in 1913 and the last service ran in 1981.
Half a mile of track still exists at Murton and we run heritage trains on Sunday's and bank holidays. There are currently 13 locomotives on site, 8 of which are operational.
