The Lewis Chessmen are arguably the most famous chess pieces in the world and they have a long and interesting history, which keeps evolving. These enigmatic chess pieces from the12th century have many tales and fables surrounding them. Scientific and historical study has separated the myths from the facts and this 1 hour audio visual talk explores both aspects.

Interested in History as a hobby and have presented talks in the U3A organisation on various history subjects.
