One of our best known novelists, Dickens was also a social campaigner, journalist, actor and many other things. But who was the real Charles Dickens? This talk looks at the many aspects of Dickens' life and career - a man who kept elements of his childhood secret, who behaved badly towards his wife but is celebrated as the Man who invented Christmas. Organisations/Venues should have appropriate IT and projection facilities to allow a PowerPoint presentation to be shown. This talk lasts about 45 minutes to an hour.
