My presentation gives a powerful first-hand insight into the violent aftermath of the Russian backed separatist war in Abkhazia; describes life in Jericho Prison in the West Bank during the Second Intifada (2002) where I led a team of American and British monitors observing the detention of six dangerous Palestinian terrorists; and as an unarmed ceasefire monitor living in the African bush for two years during the civil war in Sudan. Hard hitting, amusing, reflective and illustrated throughout with maps and photographs.
