A fully illustrated look at how VE Day was celebrated in 1945. We'll try to capture something of the spirit of a day that for many was the greatest of their life. The talk concentrates on the celebrations in London, but will also glimpse at how the day was marked elsewhere in Britain and the Empire.

Nick Dobson is a former professional Librarian. I have over 100 talks on a wide range of subjects from Shakespeare and Dickens to horticulture and from the First World War to Gilbert & Sullivan with most subjects in between!
