About Ian Doyle, BA (Hons), MBA

I am pursing my passion for history having taken early retirement from Higher Education.

I am a Battlefield Guide having led groups to the Western Front, to Normandy, and to Malta. I have participated in battlefield studies of the Napoleonic Wars and have presented on some aspects of these to peer groups.

I have presented talks of general and military historical interest as a member of my local U3A group - and have been invited to give similar talks to other associated groups.

My talks are illustrated and informative and last for approximately 45 minutes.

In my spare time, I volunteer with the RAF Air Cadets.

Prior to taking up a 25-year career in Higher Education management, I served in the RAF on a variety of roles and Squadrons throughout the UK, in Germany and in the Falkland Islands.
