John-Henry has worked extensively in both human rights and archaeology, bringing together his Master's degree in the former, and his Bachelor's degree in the latter, to form the non-profit Romani Community Archaeology.
In 2024, John-Henry undertook the first ever excavation of a historic Romany Gypsy site in Britain, a project that was featured on series 12 of Digging For Britain.
This talk, which was debuted at the University of Oxford and published in British Archaeology magazine, takes a fascinating journey through the history and culture of Romany communities through history, tangible and intangible heritage, and the excavation of a site in the New Forest.
