I retired in 2002 to look after my Late wife, who had APS for over 40 years, and was totally disabled. After her death in 2015, I decided I had to raise awareness of this little known condition
My first action was to attempt to walk from the Isles of Scilly to the Shetlands Islands, sadly had to stop around Preston, due to severe problems with my knees.
After which, i have given some 420+ talks on APS to rotary, Inner Wheel, and similar organisations throughout the British Isles and other countries across the world using Zoom

In 2023, I had to opportunity to visit Potters Village, Kisoro Uganda, to a Children's Medical Centre and a Children's Crisis Centre in order to present vital equipment to them, and found out about the various projects necessary to maintain the community and the constant flow of very young children, often with very poorly mothers
