This presentation charts the development of the wooden warships of the Royal Navy from Medieval times up to the introduction of iron hulled ships and steam power. It discusses various famous, and not so famous ships, and why the designs they adopted were so important in the development of the Navy. Targeted to be delivered in short and long versions of around 45 mins. and 2*45 mins.

About Robert Toseland

Based in Gloucestershire I am a retired Aviation Industry Engineer and Programme Manager. I actively support my local Rotary Club (Twice President) as well as being an active guide at The Jet Age Museum close to Staverton Airport and working in the engineering team of the local Stroudwater Canal Restoration project. I'm happy to travel around Gloucestershire and areas close to it and have delivered my presentations numerous times to Rotary Clubs, PROBUS, WI, U3A etc.
