About Courtney Holm

Courtney is an award winning senior leader in sustainable business development and a climate change adaptation specialist with a vast network and 20+ years' experience bringing global strategic agendas to life. Driven by innovation and a passion for a sustainable and equitable world. She is an influential voice across sectors, with significant experience in consumer goods, retail, and financial services.

Taking decisive action, Courtney influences senior stakeholders up to board level, changing mindsets and emphasising the importance of climate change adaptation. Courtney is Honorary Professor - Faculty of Environment, Science and Economy and resides as Chair of the Board of Trustees for The Orchard Project and is on the Board of Directors of Green Seal. She also sits on panels and committees as a figurehead, steering the strategic direction, focusing resources on optimal change programmes, and driving (ESG) agendas. She continues to challenge the status quo and create positive change.

The gravity of the situation requires systemic, transformational change, but often transitioning the economy is positioned at 50,000 feet and can seem impractical and misaligned to corporate strategies. No one organisation can drive systemic change, we must work together across sectors and society and adopt a system-thinking approach to tackle complex social challenges with more significant impact. Understanding and preparing for the effects of climate change on society is critical.

Through her organisation, The Holm Edit, she shares practical solutions to create systemic change, that require business and citizens simultaneously making more sustainable choices, creating the necessary supply and demand to transition the economy. We have chosen a dualistic approach, to help citizens make more sustainable choices at home and also to work with businesses to tackle environmental and social challenges along the value chain.
