I talk about the difference between stress and burnout and how it is impacting on doctors and other health professionals (I can alter this to other industries and sectors).
I tell my story of burnout when I was a lecturer, and how I discovered that it wasn't just work that caused it.
My burnout was caused by a combination of a toxic workplace, a toxic friendship and past abuse and trauma.
I explain my 3 factor model of burnout and how my pet axolotl inspired me to make changes in my life which assisted my recovery.
The talk ends with practical guidance for preventing and recovering from burnout with a fun and interactive motivational ending.
