I spent 18 years as an Ofsted inspector, inspecting primary, secondary, special and nursery schools. I spent 24 years as an Anglican schools inspector and I manage the inspection programme for the Association of Sikh Schools. This is a reasonably light-hearted look at the perils and pitfalls of inspection and a more serious consideration of inspection following the suicide of headteacher Ruth Perry
