This talk explores how to improve glycaemic control and potentially put pre-diabetes and T2 diabetes into remission while reducing weight and improving overall health with a low carbohydrate, real food lifestyle. The information is based on the years of experience built in the Public Health Collaboration on helping hundreds of people to restore their metabolic health. The talk explores the scientific evidence, the mechanism, the health benefits, real case histories as well as practical take aways for those wanting to try this lifestyle. The contents is based on the TLC course provided by the PHC to GP surgeries in the UK.

In my role as a health coach, I specialise in helping people with type 2 diabetes, pre-diabetes or obesity to improve their health with diet and lifestyle changes. Using a highly nutritious, low carbohydrate, real food diet together with simple lifestyle changes we have been able to help over 95% of pre-diabetics and 50% of type 2 diabetics put their blood sugar back in the normal range. Most people also achieve and sustain significant weight loss. I am keen to tell more people about how to do this and the science behind why it works.
