Learn all about tomatoes, from their origin and history, to choosing the right type of plant and seed to grow your own delicious tasting fruit.
The talk explores the difference between F1 and heritage varieties, the different types of plants and growing methods, and how to grow tomatoes naturally without the use of shop bought chemicals. We discuss pests and diseases specific to tomatoes and how to protect and treat naturally. Depending on the time of year I will have various plants and tomatoes to look at and discuss.

Know your tomatoes talk works well during May, June, July and August.

I am always open to discussion and questions from the audience.

About Annette Hurt

I'm an experienced RHS qualified gardener, & Beekeeper, based in the Norfolk Broads and I run Gardening and beekeeping workshops under the name of MyPatchofNorfolk.co.uk. I specialise in growing, fruit, vegetables and herbs using natural gardening methods without the use of chemicals. I only use organic and natural methods of fertilisation and promote soil health at every opportunity. I hold gardening & natural skincare workshops and beekeeping experiences where everyone gets practical hands-on tuition.

I offer various talks based on my gardening, beekeeping and own herbal use. All my talks are based on my own my own experiences as a gardener and beekeeper, so are practical and down to earth. Ideal for gardening clubs, and societies .
