It is difficult enough running a small business, but trying to keep up with social media is another 'plate to spin'. In this talk I share about community, connection and customer care. And how you can repurpose your content to reach a wider audience with a lot less energy.
Views: 357 | Enquiries: 0I grew up in apartheid South Africa and found myself in the UK almost 30 years ago, with a backpack.
I have found myself in a range of different careers: teaching (supply, A-Level - teaching History, Geography, Travel & Tourism, Leisure Studies, Event Planning and World Development), tour guiding (in Europe, North Africa, the Balkans, the UK and Ireland, and in the City of London), tour escort (on cruise ships in the Mediterranean and Russia), customer service (in tourism), online marketer (selling my own skin care products, affiliate marketing and running an online membership community) training (walking tour guiding, social media, writing a non-fiction book, goal setting for business, public speaking, and more), public speaking, writing and publishing my own and books by others.
I completed my 2nd degree in International Relations and Diplomacy and am deeply involved in my local community. I am also the current licence holder for TEDxFrome.
Crafting, spending time at home with my other half and our gorgeous dog Doris and writing, are my favourite things to do.
