Tony will take you on a journey through the life of the legendary Buddy Holly from his birthplace in Lubbock Texas in 1936 to his untimely death in 1958.

Tony`s Talk features many of Buddy smash hits, That’ll be the day, Oh Boy, Peggy Sue, Rave on, Heartbeat …and lots more

You will also hear songs from many artists that influenced Buddy such as Hank Williams, Johnny Cash, Elvis, Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis, Bill Haley & His Comets

You will learn about the stories behind the songs and from many well-known performers that were influenced by his music such as The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Bobby Vee, Brian May, Linda Ronstadt etc

The talk is a visual and audio feast of music & song that you are invited to join in and sing along to

About Tony Tutton

Tony was born in Walthamstow in 1947 (a “Baby Boomer”)

He gave his first performance on stage at the age of six.

He joined a skiffle group at the age of 10 and has continued to perform as a drummer, guitarist, and lead singer.

Tony will celebrate 70 years in the music business in 2023

In his talk Tony will take you on a trip through his life and love of music from his first stage performance in 1953 to the present day

His talk covers his early musical influences (Skiffle, Rock & Roll etc.) his various bands, and many celebrities he has met and worked with along the way

The presentation features images & great songs from 50s, 60s & 70s. Video and audio clips that you can sing along to (and will hopefully bring back some nice memories) Tony`s talk uses the latest PowerPoint software for the presentation and many slides are enhanced with audio clips.

He provides everything needed for the talk (laptop, projector and sound system) so only require you to provide 13amp socket ,a screen (or blank wall) – oh and of course an audience!!

His talks typically run 50 / 60 minutes but may be adjusted to suit your requirements and he is always pleased to take any questions.

He offers morning, afternoon or evening talks

His talks have been delivered to NHS, Probus, U3A,Wi etc
