There is no area of life that ADHD doesn't impact; relationships, work, mental health, physical health and finances. Growing up with undiagnosed ADHD, I know the confusing frustrating and anxiety-inducing ways it can impact our lives.

ADHD is growing in awareness and more people are recognising the symptoms in themselves and loved ones. My goal is to support others, reduce stigma, raise awareness and encourage anyone along their diagnosis journey.

It wasn't until my late 20s when I was diagnosed with ADHD that things began to make sense for me in a world, where focus, concentration and attention span carry such great impact. Despite these personal struggles, it is only through systematic change that people with ADHD can be better supported and thrive in our society.

There is a lot to also be celebrated in those who have ADHD, such as creative and lateral thinking, hyper-focus and incredible ability to adapt. Raising awareness of ADHD contributes to better understanding, reducing stigmas and creating environments for people to thrive in.

In this talk, I unpack my firsthand experience of living with undiagnosed ADHD, my journey through the medical health system to get a diagnosis and my life and management of ADHD since.

Through sharing my personal story, what works for me and actionable life skills the aim of this talk is to leave the audience with a greater awareness and understanding of themselves and others with ADHD, to encourage compassion towards others and to see people with ADHD as valuable members of our society.

We'll unpack common symptoms of ADHD alongside lesser-known traits, alongside ways that ADHD may show up in adulthood versus childhood. The audience will also have a chance to ask questions and receive input on what may be helpful.

Through this talk, we will explore the wonderful world of ADHD and neurodivergent minds, how to embrace differences among ourselves, and to seek support when needed.

Please note, none of the advice or insight given during his talk is a substitute for medical advice, and should not be taken as such. This talk will NOT diagnose anyone and I will not be suggesting anyone does. By providing information and resources, the aim is to encourage people to reflect on their understanding of ADHD and, if it resonates, to seek further qualified medical support.
