Everyone has been to school and so has a view point on education. I combine magical entertainment with a talk about my own experiences as a headteacher leading my school for over 18 years and my thoughts on education today and what really matters. My aim is to confound, amuse and set you thinking in equal measure! 'We have had such a really, really good response from our members after your talk and your magic tricks - very clever. And I enjoyed being a princess for a few minutes too. The feedback was very enthusiastic indeed and I got thank yous for inviting you to come along to talk to us too. About Alistair Brien

For over 18 years I was the headteacher of a large and successful secondary school in Bournemouth, the last three of which was spent getting us through covid and coming out the other side! Having just retired but not quite ready to put my feet up, I am now working as a celebrant leading funerals and weddings! In my spare time I am passionate about magic and am a member of the Magic Circle and was President of the Wessex Magical Association.
