A wealth of textile art and design is to be found in the public buildings of Bury St Edmunds town centre - some modern, some dating back centuries. Many of these pieces were created as beautiful artworks, many were intended to serve a practical purpose, but sewn into every single stitch there are tales to be told.

In this talk you will hear the stories of, and behind, some of these amazing creations: what inspired them; why they were designed and made; the needle-women -men who made them and the painstaking work that went into them

Based in Bury St Edmunds and a very active member of the Bury St Eds Association of Registered Tour Guides, Lynn has a background in professional theatre-making and performance. Her work is predominantly a fusion of theatre and heritage. She is an experienced story-teller and speaker with a warm and engaging style.
