An account of my 800kms (500 miles) walk from France, across the Pyrenees, to the Cathedral de Santiago in the far west of Spain. I talk about the preparations, daily challenges, and unexpected moments of serendipity that made this such an incredible and unforgettable experience. Since I returned, I’ve inspired several friends to walk the walk - perhaps my talk will inspire you to take up the challenge!

About Andrea Tse

Hello, I am a recently retired English teacher who fulfilled her dream of walking the Camino de Santiago in 2021, an 800km walking pilgrimage from France to the far west of Spain. This was a physical, mental and unexpectedly spiritual experience that has made me reflect on my daily life in ways I hadn’t anticipated. I recently was asked to speak about my journey to a local Probus organisation, and received such positive feedback I was encouraged to join a speakers register.

My talk covers the preparation, the daily challenges, and the unexpected moments that stop you in your tracks! I look forward to sharing my experiences with you soon, and perhaps inspiring the next pilgrims to walk this way!
