A fully illustrated talk based on my book Their Names Will Live On which is a collection of 65 stories about unsung war heroes from the First World War through to the conflict in Afghanistan. The talk has stories that will inspire, humble, shock and sadden but also have moments of humour. I bring copies of my book to sell, a donation from every copy sold going to the Royal British Legion (approx £2,500 donated so far).

About ANDY SMART

Retired journalist. I worked in news, sport, features mainly for regional and local newspapers with some radio broadcasting. More recently I helped to produce a nostalgia magazine called Bygones which looked at aspects of Nottinghamshire's history (but with lots of general interest) and I have been reviewing musical theatre for the Nottingham Post for more than 20 years, interviewing celebrities over the years.
