Based upon my 2017 book 'Women Warriors - Ten courageous women who went to war', this entertaining and informative talk tells the true life story of female soldier Kit Cavenaugh as she served in the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards under the name of Christopher Welsh.

After her beloved husband was forced to fight for William II, Christian 'Kit' Welsh donned her husband's clothes and joined the Duke of Marlborough's Dragoons to find him. Her pursuit took her across Europe, onto the battlefield throughout the Nine Years War and the War of the Spanish Succession, and through an exploration of her own identity as a woman, wife, mother and soldier. All talks are accompanied by PowerPoint illustrations. Signed copies of 'Women Warriors' are available for purchase.
