We feed children at school in some of the world's poorest communities. These nutritious meals attract children into the classroom where they can get an education which offers hope of a better future for them and their communities.
Where Marys Meals are served school enrolment increases, attendance improves and participation levels increase.
Starting out feeding 200 children in Malawi in 2002, we now feed over 2 million children each school day in 18 countries including Liberia, South Sudan, Yemen, Syria, Myanmar and Haiti.
Local communities own and run Mary’s Meals in the project countries where we operate and wherever possible our meals are made with locally produced food, thereby supporting the local economy.
Our school feeding programmes encourage all children to attend school and girls make up 50% of children across our global programmes.
