An introduction to the history of the theatre in Britain, in particular the Lancaster Grand which opened in 1782 - the third oldest in Britain. Theatrical superstitions and ghosts, theatre in our everyday vocabulary and what goes into a staging a production. The talk is illustrated with Powerpoint; I can bring a laptop and a projector. The £45 fee goes towards the Lancaster Grand's new foyer and extension. Also, monthly backstage tours are offered by the theatre or I can arrange a special group visit.

After a 40 year career as a scriptwriter and video producer, I am now heavily involved with the Lancaster Grand (Britain's third oldest theatre), where I volunteer backstage and also give theatre tours. Another interest is in thwarting scammers and I have been trained as a Scams Champion by National Trading Standards.
