I’m an award-winning Telegraph travel writer, BBC correspondent and public speaker. I specialise in big, overland journeys and my TV show, Earth Cycle, is on Amazon Prime and 20+ channels around the world.
My newest multimedia talk is all about cycling 3,500 miles around pandemic Britain for The Telegraph and a book will be released in spring.
This film will give you a good idea of the project:

I travelled to the furthest corners of Britain… Shetland, Scilly, Highlands, Cumbria etc to find out how the pandemic impacted people all over the country.
It’s a ground level view, with hundreds of unique case studies. It’s also a discussion about how my own mental health was impacted by the pandemic.
This will be a multimedia presentation of films, photos and anecdotes, followed by a Q&A.

I’ve reported on product shortages in Venezuela, the ‘migrant crisis’ in Greece, social inequality in the barrios of Northern Colombia and climate change in the high Andes and Svalbard.
I’ve paraglided solo through the Andes, hiked up Bali’s highest volcanoes and driven a rickshaw the length of India.
I’ve reported from over 100 countries in the past decade – from Bhutan and French Polynesia to Patagonia and Namibia.
Between March 20th and July 30th 2016 I embarked on my toughest story yet – to sail and cycle from China to London in 133 days.
