I was born and brought up in India and went to the USA to study Fashion Design. There were a lot of adventures along the way and it was an exciting time, working for a while in New York at an Haute Couture Design House. In the 70s I carried on my design business in Surrey, specialising in silk. I ran a very popular Fashion Boutique in Surrey for many years, raising substantial funds through Fashion Shows for various charities. A light hearted, sometimes amusing story of a life in fashion spanning the 70s to the 2000s.

About Rukshana Master

I was brought up in India soon after the end of the British Raj, which my great great grandmother lived through. Her autobiography is the subject of one of my talks. I trained as a Fashion designer in the USA and subsequently opened a boutique in Surrey, raising substantial funds for various charitable causes. A Passion for Fashion' is my second talk. As a young family we bought and restored a ruin in rural France...talk number three. Talks four and five are based on a river trip from St Petersburg to Moscow. I am the author of two books and have had a very interesting life. I love sharing all the unusual stories I have accumulated over the years.
