Interesting, lighthearted and informative talk on the National Garden Scheme, since its inception in 1927 to the present day. This is a charity supporting other charities the likes of Marie Curie, Macmillan Cancer Care, Parkinsons UK, Mind, Carers UK and several other Nursing, Caring and Health charities. You can visit our website ngs.org.uk to view all the charities, which we support. Despite the dreadful year that was 2020 we still managed to donate £2.8 million to our beneficiaries, due to the innovative ideas and hard work of all our volunteers, along with many projects set up by our head office. Without the support of the general public visiting our gardens, eating our homemade cakes, buying our plants and booking our talks, we would not be able to donate these astounding amounts to our beneficiaries. Our talks are all by experienced volunteers, and they do not take a fee themselves. All the money goes to the charity (less expenses if claimed)

About Hampshire National Garden Scheme

The National Garden Scheme is an extraordinary charity. Through the generosity of over 3500 garden owners across England and Wales who open their gardens to the public and our thousands of visitors who visit these gardens, we are able to donate an incredible £3m to national nursing, care and health charities every year. Here in Hampshire we have over 120 gardens to visit of all shapes and sizes, each of them unique in its own way. Whether you are looking for a formal garden, a plantsman's garden, a tropical garden, a wildlife friendly garden or just something quirky and different you will find them here. Hampshire National Garden Scheme has a small pool of experienced, committed garden owners and county team members who will deliver this informative talk in your chosen area.
