In a career spent working in over 40 private sector businesses, charities, and in the public sector including prisons, probation, education, official solicitor and courts it has been quite a journey which is still going! It didn't start well with a struggle through school, scraping a qualification as a teacher and then not being able to get a job as there were too many teachers! The anecdotes that follow are all based on things that have happened in Tim's extraordinary life (so far!).
Locked in prison, travel, smokers, local traffic, cyber security, his wife and the mirror, the cost of living crisis and saving money, confidentiality, hot air balloons, corporate events, olympics, trying to play golf, holidays, London marathon, watching his family grow and what to do when all else fails. Simple, funny and (mostly!) true.

Tim uses his natural Northern sense of humour to bring his original stories to life and entertain audiences at a wide range of functions.
Tim generally delivers his talks face to face to audiences and can also deliver live talks on Zoom and MS Teams.
Tim qualified as a teacher in 1982 and after a year as president of the students union he ‘fell’ into the world of sales and marketing with Endsleigh Insurance. This was quickly followed by a move to Legal and General where he spent the next 16 years in sales and then management roles. In 1999 he moved to Frizzells where he progressed to a position on the board as Assistant National Sales Director. Made redundant at the end of 2002 he spent a year with the Skipton Group working on an acquisition and integration project before setting up his own business, in which he still works full time, to provide training, coaching, mentoring and facilitation of events in 2004.
In his business he has worked across the private and public sectors from Banks, Finance, Retail and Small Medium Enterprises to the Ministry of Justice including Prisons and Probation and, the wider Civil Service to Charities. Along the way he has gained a huge amount of experience and achieved considerable success and now shares what he is allowed to do in his ever growing list of talks.
Tim lives in Skipton with his wife Julia and has three grown up children and four grandchildren all of whom he is very proud. He has also never lost his love for Newcastle United!
Based on his wide and varied career and personal life Tim offers a range of talks which are all laced with good humour and include totally original material.
