Based on David's book, the presentation is in three 30 minute parts : PART 1: The scenes, times and murders London 1888. Victoria, the “famine queen” reigned in mourning. Alongside the wealthy city’s centre lay the murky world of Whitechapel, where life was cheap and crime rife. On to this dark stage stepped a serial killer with some four to eight horrific murders to his or her name. Welcome to the world of “Jack” the Ripper. The places, the background, the media frenzy, the early theories. Was it a lone killer or more than one? Who were the five suspected murder victims of Jack the Ripper? Were there more victims? Were the so –called Ripper letters for real, or just a cruel hoax? Have we a description of the killer? Where are the locations of the crimes? Can you visit them now? The murder frequency warms up and our story gets more complex!

PART 2 The suspects – then and now In the late nineteenth century over one hundred suspects of twenty different nationalities were put forward as being Jack the Ripper, following work by hundreds of beat policemen and detectives, both undercover and otherwise. Thousands of homes were searched. Dozens of business premises were investigated. By the twentieth century two dozen suspects remained. Three were named in police files. The twenty first century brought a flurry of books proclaiming new suspects. A dozen remain- Artists, authors, lunatics, mortuary attendants and ne’er do wells. David filters the facts and circles his own final suspect, with the ideas and clues behind. And one man in particular seems to stand out from the crowd. He’s 55% certain he’s stood on the Ripper’s grave- but Sherlock is uncertain. Has the Ripper finally been unmasked?

PART 3: THE TRUE IDENTITY OF JACK THE RIPPER

Hold the presses! New information has come in! David has finally unmasked the real villain by the age old concept of means, motive and opportunity. It was said that the Ripper crimes were so atrocious that it could not possibly have been an Englishman. Jack went to Eton and Cambridge. He was an accomplished lawyer and poet with connections to the British Royal family. He had Bi-polar and an additional head injury some months prior to his murderous spree was the trigger to the “1888 Autumn of Terror.” And that is why he was never unmasked until now!

About David Hunter Pybus

David is a professional speaker and has worked in the cruise ship industry and at universities for over twenty years specialising in Perfumery (his career) and mysteries (his hobby). He was originally a chemist working for the Boots Company, ICI and then Unilever. His degree in Chemistry was augmented by a Masters in Marketing and a diploma in Perfumery.

In 2007 David won £80,000 on Dragons' Den to pursue his dream of opening a perfume company, Scents of Time, based on perfumes lost in time through disaster, found again and recreated. Two of his perfumes were from RMS Titanic and Pompeii.

He has published four books, three on aspects of Perfumery ("The Chemistry of Fragrances." "Transports of Delight" and "Kodo the way of incense.")

His fourth book, "The true identity of Jack the Ripper" (available on Kobo) comes from a cruiser asking him after a talk on Jack the Ripper "Why the greatest detective of all times at the height of his deductive powers was not put on to catch that bloke."

Having explained that whilst Jack was very real Sherlock Holmes was entirely fictional David stepped into Sherlock's Shoes to nail the individual, and in the words of the great man himself "When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, is the truth."

David's talks on Jack have packed theatres and he is now firmly convinced that he has nailed the serial killer of seven women in London's Whitechapel area. His latest talk outs the true author of Shakespeare's works based on his life death and works. William was an actor but not the author.
