Some things you probably don't know about the man who wrote Alice in Wonderland, Through the Looking Glass and many other books for children and adults.
Views: 1231 | Enquiries: 7Andy has been fascinated by the Alice in Wonderland stories since appearing as the Dormouse, aged 9, in a school production. Since then he has been a collector of Alice books, and books about their author Lewis Carroll, and now possesses more than 400 titles. In his spare time he likes to visit the places that were important to Carroll.
Andy is a member of the Lewis Carroll Society and has given talks about the author in various locations including Durham University, of which he is a graduate and currently serving as a Bedel.
Andy studied English, Latin and Philosophy at Durham University and also holds an MA degree in Public Communication from Leeds University. For many years he worked as a government press officer. Since retiring from that job he has been a private tutor, helping people to improve their communication skills, and of course giving talks. He lives in Durham.
