Patchwork – a look at some of the quilts, wall hangings and other textile art that can be created either from new fabrics, or by using old textiles and other items that some would call ‘rubbish’.

A talk with a whole suitcase full of patchwork examples, from classic patterns, to modern, abstract designs, hand and machine work, patchwork without measuring, and more.

Can include a sewing machine demonstration of some techniques and form a workshop for sewers.

About Liza Jones

Are you looking for a lively, informative and educational talk that will keep you and your members fascinated and wanting more? In the last six years I have given almost 300 talks in East Anglia to organisations such as Women’s Institutes, Rotary, Inner Wheel and similar. I have a programme of a variety of talks, with props to reinforce messages with the audience, and am frequently asked back again, having been to many groups several times. Talks can be in person, but to those further afield, I used Zoom.

My background in tutoring adults ensures that talks are captivating, amusing and different - never dull. I am author of the Amazon best seller 'How to Choose the Right Craft for You' and 'Oranges and Lemons . . . and other Citrus Fruit' and a selection of textile books.

I am happy to run through the content of specific talks and can be contacted on 020 7834 1066.

I do not have a fixed fee, but ask for a donation which I then Gift Aid to the East Anglian Air Ambulance. Hopefully you will never need them, but if you do, I know they will come up trumps.
