For many years people thought that the great emperor Napoleon Bonaparte ended his days on the desolate island of St Helena in the wild south Atlantic. However, history has been misguided as the greatest military mind of all time is happily living in "Chateau de Brum" i Birmingham in the West Midlands!

You may have seen his many YOU TUBE films where amongst themes he has sent messages to Her Majesty the Queen and President Macron as well as his very popular Christmas and Easter messages.

Napoleon not only brings historic facts alive like his desire to live in Torquay, in an accessible, amusing way but also tells of his new life in modern day England, getting lost in a Birmingham shopping mall, his untold love of football and brings to the stage his beloved Martinique Marvel, Josephine Bonaparte! Napoleon's story is memorable, witty, lively with degrees of pathos.

Since coming to live in this "Sweet little island," he has delighted audiences ranging from the WI to Anglo/French clubs as well as appearing at cabaret venues and has even performed in his own Panto! (oh yes he has!) He would now love to travel more of England. he knows that he never conquered this "Green and pleasant" land but would love to come and visit much more.

About Patrick Hayes

I am an award winning playwright and published author based in Birmingham and I have been giving talks and performances for many years now. I graduated from the University of London with degree and post graduate certificate in English and Drama and then returned to the Midlands where my career began.

I have been writing, performing and giving presentations throughout the West Midlands to a plethora of clubs and societies including the W, Rotary, University of the Third Age and for Birmingham's library services. I have given after dinner speeches to wide ranging audiences.

As well as being a writer, author and performer I am a lover of France and spend many happy days in my little cottage with my family in Brittany. I am also very keen on sports and trained as a football association coach and referee. I am an ongoing love affair with my local team, Aston Villa which at times isn't as joyful as it could be!
