Born in Lincoln where I lived for the first 25 years. I am a Freeman of the City of Lincoln. I worked for I.C.I. all my working life in far flung places ….Cambridge, Bristol before settling in Nottingham in 1979. I’m married with 2 children, 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Rotarian for 43 years…. Past President Carlton (Nottingham) Rotary Club 1992/3 and 2016/7

Regional Finalist on ITV Pride of Britain Awards 2019 in the 'Fund Raiser of the Year' category

ABOUT MY TALK...

I have two versions of the talk. I am happy to come along to a venue where space is limited or the room is an awkward shape and present the talk ‘stand alone’. Normally, I give a Power Point presentation and provide my own laptop and projector. I also have the talk on a dongle so that I can use the venue’s equipment when that is the required system.

I have given this humorous presentation to more than 750 organisations including W.I. Clubs, Rotary Clubs, Probus Clubs, & U3A within a radius of 50 miles from my home in Burton Joyce, Nottingham including Derbyshire, Lincolnshire, Leicestershire and South Yorkshire.

AND NOW, by the magic of ZOOM........I can present my whimsical talk to anywhere in the British Isles

FEE: I take no fee or expenses, but if you consider it to be worthy of a donation, my chosen charity is Asthma UK. This presentation makes an ideal opportunity to invite partners and prospective members to attend.

I’m often available at short notice….. so it is worth giving me a ring if you find yourself without a speaker.
